Who writes the handbook, and how

An independent editorial site about free browser games. Here is who runs it, how pages are made and the rules we keep.

The short account

ryvelgriskstorm.com explains free browser games that run on Poki.com: what each one is, how the controls work, what to try first and who it suits. We do not host or run games, sell anything or ask you to sign up. You can reach us here:

The people behind the pages

Pages are written and checked by the ryvelgriskstorm.com editorial team. Below are the people who sign the pages, and what each of them brings to the handbook.

Mirena Halvorsen

Editor, game pages

Writes and rechecks the game pages. Twelve years of writing player guides for browser and mobile games.

Teodor Raskin

Controls and accessibility checks

Replays every game on keyboard, phone and tablet, and keeps the control tables honest.

What a game needs before it gets a patch

It has to run in an ordinary browser without downloads, and its rules have to be explainable in plain language. We compare every control and fact with the game’s page on Poki, play the game, and only then write.

  • Runs in the browser, nothing to install
  • Rules you can explain in a paragraph
  • Controls that match Poki’s listing
  • Clear about ads and online players

No one pays for a patch

We are not affiliated with Poki or with any game developer. No one pays for a page, a place on the sash or a kinder description, and our links to Poki carry no affiliate or tracking codes.

When a page is wrong

Each page shows when it was published and last checked. When a game changes, we replay it and update the text; the date changes only when the text does. If you find a mistake, write to us and we will correct it.
